Choices

If you make a choice will it affect your future? Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. What determines what your day, week, month, will be like? Choices determine everything. Your choices are what make your life how it is. The past affects your future due to the choices you make, because there are small choices, (like what kind of pop you want when you go to the movie theater) large choices, (like should I get married to this lady or not) and choices that affect others.

Some choices are smaller then others are. Some choices are so small you don’t realize your making them. You can come across a small choice that could turn out to be a large choice after all. For example when you go out to the fridge to get something to drink what do you see? You could see pop, water, juice, or maybe a weight loss drink. Which will you choose? Does it even matter which one you pick? Yes! Even the smallest choices are very important. Do you want to get fatter or get healthy or would you like to loose weight? This is a small choice, but it can become a large choice. You could open the pop and win a million dollars or take the water and have healthy skin through your lifetime. It’s your choice.
During your lifetime you will come across many large choices that can change you life forever. Life changing choice should take a lot of time and thought. If someone asks you if you want to move all the way around the world to china you wont just say yes or no. You would say let me think about it. In your mind you start thinking about the pros and cons what will my family think? How will I communicate with the people? I don’t know how to speak Chinese. I would have to find a new job after looking for so long to find a good job here. All these things will be hard to do it will take a while to adjust to them and it will ether be happy or sad while your there. When you just pick up and move there are many things to consider. You will need new friends and you will never have the same life as if you didn’t move to china. Your decision will change your life forever. Its up to you, will you make the right choice?

There is one other category that I have not mentioned. Choices that affect others are just as important as any others. They can determine if someone’s life is how they want it or to disappoint them forever. If you have a child it could make your partner happy or sad. Or if someone chooses to shoot your dad or your mom when you’re a little kid. There is nothing you can do about some of these choices but some of them you can control. The choices that you control are a very special power and should be made only if needed. You have to think about others when making choices. Most of the time it is up to you, but sometimes you don’t have a choice to make. Sometimes it is not up to you.

Choices will affect your future for good or bad. You must live with them and make them. You will make hundreds of thousands of them in your life. Choose well!
