A survival Guide to Avoiding Trouble

A Survival Guide to Avoiding Trouble

“The greatest joy in life is not falling, but rising each time we fall.” Is a quote by Confucius, a Chinese philosopher. The quote is stating that people all through out the world make mistakes. The most common mistake is doing something you weren’t allowed to do. Then end up getting caught. There is also ways you can avoid getting caught. It’s important to always have a plan if you get caught because you never know when you’ll need an excuse, or what to do if your plan fails and you never know when something bad is going to happen.
Excuses are always handy to have, but you need to make sure the excuse is good. All teachers have heard the ever so popular ‘My dog at my homework’ excuse. Try to think of an excuse before you do something your not suppose to because that way if you do get caught you might be able to clear your name. If you get caught with no excuse in your mind, bite your tongue so you don’t say anything stupid and stall. Say ‘I really got to go to the bathroom’ and run off. The come out with an excuse. Just try to avoid these sayings: My brother did it, but all my friends don’t have a bedtime, and it wasn’t me. Some good sayings are I was playing basketball at the park because our teacher said for homework we needed to learn gravity, you know you love me and you couldn’t possible be mad at me “Puppy dog eyes* and the vase broke by coming down. Those are good sayings because they are different, your mom, dad, teacher or whoever you are saying them to have probably never heard them. As you can see, that excuses are important to have incase you get caught. Sometimes they can help you avoid getting into trouble.
Having multiple plans is always good incase the 1st plan is shattered. Lets say your going out with a guy and your not suppose to. You will need multiple plans just in case. Lets say your plan A is take cover at a friend’s house. The only problem with that is what if they aren’t home? So you move to plan B. Plan B is just head to a spot where you are usually at, like a park and stay there for a while. The easiest plan would probably be call your parents every once in a while your out to let them know your okay. That’s probably the reason why then won’t let you date him because they want to keep you safe. So inform them that you’re all right and then they can stop worrying. Planning is only two-thirds of the things you need to do so you don’t get caught doing something you’re not suppose to do, but it’s certainly an important part.
The last and final thing you need to know before you take the risk of doing something you’re not suppose to do is remind yourself that you never know what is going to happen. You could get away with it or you could get caught and get in serious trouble. Be sure to think over what you’re going to do. You will want to look over ALL the possible outcomes weather they are good or bad, over look them all. If the outcomes were really bad like jail or a communicable disease then I wouldn’t do it. But if you absolutely looked over all the outcomes and still and they don’t seem bad than go for it.
But it’s always important to think of what could happen.
Doing something you weren’t suppose to do can be fun and exciting until you get caught. Then things can get bad. I’m not saying to never take risks, or to never do or try something new. I’m just saying always be prepared for what could happen…You never know, you could one day find yourself in deep trouble. If you do decide to go behind your parents back, then remember all that I said. Only you can be you.
