People who are outgoing have a certain “glow” about them. It’s like they always know what to say and how to say it. No matter whom that person talks to their “outgoingness” radiates off them onto you. If I could change one thing about myself it would be so that I were more outgoing because you can start a conversation easily, get to speak your mind, and can run wild and do spontaneous things.

Awkward silence between two people is not the best way to start a conversation. What will you talk about? Will they continue on with what you’re saying? These questions are easy for outgoing people because they already know the answer; they are so smooth they know all the right things to say. You can talk about almost anything and everyone will think it’s a brilliant comment. I want to know what to say and always have the right answer, and then everyone will think I’m brilliant.

The unfortunate thing about shy kids is that they don’t always get to say what they’re thinking. It’s like there’s this file cabinet in the back of their minds, and stored in it is amazing ideas and sayings just waiting to be read. Sadly, someone has locked it up and thrown away the key, never to see the light of day again. On the other hand there are outgoing children. Their file cabinet is definitely unlocked, and there’s a tornado in their mind that is blowing out every idea and comment they can possibly imagine. I think its time to find my key.

The last advantage in being outgoing is that you’re completely spontaneous. You can say what you want without constraint, and grow like a wild vine instead of being planted to the ground. Spontaneous kids can do whatever they want, and not care about the consequences. I want to be daring and wild, impulsive and uncontrollable, I want to be spontaneous.

Conversation starters, tornado filing cabinets and being fully spontaneous are the best traits you and I can get from being outgoing. Never throw away your key and whatever you think of to say won’t sound absurd. Don’t hold back your thoughts because once you let them out, you will sound wonderfully brilliant!
To be outgoing is a dream far from reach, but every new dream sounds crazy at first.
