People have been fighting for thousands of years. From the skies to your house. Fighting is everywhere. Either its for love, freedom, glory or something else. People fight because they are selfish, they’re jealous of somebody and somebody has that person’s stuff.
People fight because they are selfish. They let greed for money and fame take over their minds. That kind of greed cannot be stopped or erased. They only think about themselves. For example the civil war, the south wanted slaves because they were cheap labor and they meant that the plantation owners didn’t have to work on their land of hire workers, which would cost too much money. These kinds of fights even happen in your very own house. You might want to have your monthly allowance raised. You might beg your parents or try and do something nice in the house. These kinds of fights also happen to famous people as well, they are always competing for fame and money. This is the 1st reason to why people fight, selfishness.
Once or maybe more time we have gotten jealous of some other person. Jealousy starts a lot of wars and fights. It happens every single day. At school jealousy starts nasty and probably untrue rumors. Because of these rumors people’s feelings will get hurt. Another example will be the segregation. Segregation is another form of war that involves jealousy. You might not see it, but the white people were jealous of the African-Americans because they were just like them and they didn’t like it. That is the 2nd reason to why people fight.
People will fight many times because somebody has somebody’s stuff. For an example the mythical war of Troy. Troy started because a young prince kidnapped a king’s young bride after they fell in love. On a more modern note, these kinds of fights happen everywhere. For an example maybe your friend took your book and won’t give it back. Another example will be because a person stole your most valued position, which could start this kind of war.
People will fight because they are selfish, they’re jealous of somebody and somebody has something they own. There maybe more reasons to why people fight, but that’s all I could think of were these three. People will fight throughout our lifetime and it will always remain that way.

Wake Me up When September Ends was a very interesting essay. I liked how you related to the civil war and Troy and then connected to it with the present. You said that people fight because their selfish and jeoulous and that is very true. Then you also said people fight because somebody has that persons stuff. You do fight about that but that doesnt start a fight. You fight and then you want your stuff back. Other then that was really good!
